The History of Fire

The use of fire by early humans is one of the most important discoveries ever made. The discovery of how to control fire is hard to say, but historians have evidence that at least 500,000 years ago, early humans were using fire for their basic needs.
In spring 2012, new evidence was found in Wonderwerk Cave in South Africa that humans had possibly controlled fire approximately 1,000,000 years ago! (Please click on the tab above Chapter 1: Earliest Human Societies for a news article on this incredible finding!)
